Ron Sachs Communications today announced Michelle Ubben, partner and chief operating officer of the firm, has been named the 2008 winner of the international Stevie Award, recognizing top women in business. During ceremonies last week in New York City, Ubben was named Best Executive – Service Businesses for Up to 100 Employees in Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations in the Women in Business category.

Ubben's past achievements include being named by the Tallahassee Democrat as one of the top businesswomen in the region in 2007. Ubben also was named one of Tallahassee's "25 Women You Need to Know,” in celebration of Women's History Month. In 2006, PR News chose Ubben as one of five national finalists for the distinct honor of "Agency Executive of the Year" award. She also received honorable mention for her successful reengineering of firm operations that increased revenue by 27 percent.
