Fire investigators are looking into a possible arson on Tallahassee's South Side. Firefighters say the home along the 800 block of Brent Drive is up for sale and its power had been shut off--therefore an electrical fire is out of the question.

The blaze was reported to the Tallahassee Fire Department around five o'clock this Wednesday evening. Although firefighters were able to save most of the home--police are still looking for whoever set the fire.

If you have any information about this crime, call the Tallahassee Fire Department at (850) 891-FIRE. Fire fighters say you could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.

As the economy worsens, we are going to see a lot of mysterious fires. These events are not mysterious at all. A house is up for sale that probably has been on the market for months, and the owner has probably became frustrated with the lack of interest in the property. These events have been happening all over this country sense the housing crisis. This is just a theory, but it is highly likely. When events like this happen, you should always look at the owner first.
