FSU Police Question New Witness in Union Fight

Tallahassee - We'll have to wait another day on the details as a new witness has come forward in the FSU student union fight. FSU police investigators are planning to discuss charges with the state attorney on Friday.

Major Jim Russell says they will continue interviewing witnesses as they come in because investigators would still like to nail down some of the events from the fight.

"Within these priorities is the fact that we had this young lady get hurt pretty bad when a chair got thrown at her, so we're not turning any witnesses away who have information. If it means it slows it down a little bit, that's ok, because in the end we want this to be not just done, but done right." said Major Russell.

The Union fight took place last Wednesday between FSU football players and members of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. FSU police say there will be multiple arrests, but would not comment about the suspects.

If Sir Bobby would recruit somewhere outside the prison system, maybe this would get better. Go Criminoles.

The coach can control who plats on his team. Its time to start kicking these thugs off the team and revoke their scholarships.

The sad part behind this is that it is sendind a msg to the youth that you are above the law if you are an athlete. If the players took part they should not be allowed to play period end of discussion. If a "regular citizen" was involved there wouldnt be any discussion. If you steal from wal mart or the mall are you allowed to continue to shop there until they investigate ? no you are not. If they act like children treat them like children. one of the players have been in trouble three times already and is going to continue cause there are no penalties for it. Why would they care ?, they just get a slap on the wrist thats it. If it was FAMU they would probably be in Jail, and it has nothing to do with Race. The athletes at FSU think they are above the law and someone owes them something. A paid education is a priviledge not a Given.

the coaches cant control the players 24 hours a day, they are not babysitters. These players should be able to behave responsibly on their own.

I agree with Max, but the rest of yall are FSU haters. Unless either of us are the police that are conducting this investigation it doesn't matter what we say so shut up!

FSU will lose the next two games regardless of who does/does not play. Go ahead and make the arrests and get it over with. While at it, arrest the coaches for not having any control over the players!

I think the person who threw the chair needs to be charged, but other than that, there shouldn't be much more.
