Christmas Connection set up shop Monday at West Pensacola Street.

The organization is taking all kinds of donations-food, clothes and money.

Officials hope to give them out to 500 needy families in the Big Bend who otherwise wouldn't have a Christmas.

Program Coordinator A.J. Smith says, "One family I delivered to had a Christmas tree with nothing under the tree until we got there, the kids are all smiles when they see new toys and it means a lot, you know, for folks to have food, to have a ham or have a turkey for Christmas."

If you'd like to donate to Christmas Connection, drop by their location at 3954 West Pensacola Street.
