It's a celebration of wreaths at the Tallahassee Senior Center and these aren't wreaths you can just pick up at the store. They were all handmade by charitable donors to raise money for Tallahassee Senior Services.
The wreaths were featured along with other holiday works of art Thursday night at this year's "Deck the Halls'' event. Everything on display was also up for sale.
Those who worked on the specialty items say this was a truly rewarding experience. Polly White with Capital Health Plan contributed wreaths along with her co-workers. "It was really more of a socializing and community event because there was a good dozen people who got together and we made over 40 wreaths for the event." said White.
The Deck the Halls event included prizes such as a an island getaway, 500 dollars in cash and of course a handmade wreath.
