Christmas Connection Feature Family

Each year the Christmas Connection helps hundreds of needy families have a brighter holiday and each year we introduce you to a few of those families in hopes that you can help, too.

We're going to start with a family in Gadsden County. A single mother of two young children recently lost her job and the family was evicted from its home.

They are now crowded into her grandmother's house. It needs lots of repairs and the only source of heat right now comes from opening the oven door.

This is case #421

This family is asking for sheets, blankets and a comforter for a queen size bed.

It needs a kerosene heater.

The chidlren need winter clothes and the grandmother would like pajamas and a robe.

The 3 year old boy would like a bike with training wheels and the girl wants a baby doll.

The mother would like a necklace and earring set.

Here are the clothing sizes needed:

mother, 21 years old:
pants/dresses - size 16
shirts/sweaters - size large
shoes - size 8
underwear - size 7
