It's been a long process of planning since August, but Thursday, the Timberlake subdivision off Apalachee Parkway submitted ideas to the Leon County Commission for controlling storm water. The Timber Lake community suffered damage last August when Fay flooded their neighborhood. Now--the homeowner's association wants to do everything it can to keep it from happening again.

Bob Finch, with the Timberlake Homeowner's Association said, "Hopefully, the information we've given them will give them some kind of idea of how severe the problem is. The engineering folks in the county maybe can start to look at what has happened in the past because it turns out this is not the first flood it's about the fourth flood."

Leon County says it will take the Timberlake community's plan into consideration for a storm water planning meeting on January 29th.
