The nights have been cold, but not too cold to get busted for breaking the law. Thursday, FSU Police, Tallahassee Police, and Leon County Sheriff's Deputies were on their first DUI patrol of the year around FSU's campus.

From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., authorities ran a DUI check point on the 800 block of Jefferson Street. Later, authorities patrolled the campus area until 2:00 a.m. looking for people who may be driving under the influence.

I am glad I staggered to my car at 2 and cut through campus. Figures they thought the bars let out at midnight, not the time they quit patrolling. Usually, they flaunt the number of arrests, they didn't get any, did they??
