On the top floor of a parking garage at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, this car burst into flames around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters say because of the fire's location, they had to use a ladder to get a hose to the car. Finally, officials say firefighters reached the car and put it out in 15 minutes.
Lieutenant Travis Oaks, with the Tallahassee Fire Department said, "Our guys used fire extinguishers to hold down the fire and contain it until we were able to ladder the building with our aerial and supply it with water."
In addition to getting the car extinguished--firefighters managed to prevent two other cars beside it from catching on fire as well.
