Cold Kick Off for Motorcycle Rodeo Friday Night

The motorcycle rodeo kicked off Friday night in the Governor's Square Mall parking lot and in the dark no less where even the most skilled motorcycle cops had some trouble.

Local law enforcement and others from as far as Jacksonville snaked their way through a tricky obstacle course on two wheels, some of whom can maneuver through 200 cones in two minutes! At some points--the cones got the best of the skilled riders--but it was all for fun and charity. Riders say the hardest part is watching where you're going.

Captain Al Wofford with the Florida Highway Patrol said, "And to make it even more difficult, they waited until it got dark and with the strobe lights flashing, it's hard to see your path of travel, so it really takes a lot of focus and concentration."

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says all proceeds from this weekend's event will go towards Special Olympics Leon County.
