Project coordinators say there are currently about ten projects that are a part of Blueprint 2000 under construction. At an intergovernmental agency meeting Monday afternoon, local leaders discussed going after stimulus dollars for certain projects.

One project proposal includes widening Capital Circle Road between Woodville and Crawfordville Roads to seven lanes. Jim Davis, Director of Blueprint 2000 said, "We're cautiously optimistic that we're going to be successful in this. We've requested 15 million dollars and that would be part of the stimulus money coming to this community and I think we said about 250 jobs."

At Monday's meeting, officials also discussed possibly getting started on the Capital Cascades Trail this summer. The agency also approved a study to look into the construction of new alternate route to the airport from the area of Innovation Park.
