Some upcoming projects for Highway 319 are in the final planning phases, but those living in the area say they're ready to see a ground breaking. The plans were put up for display in Wakulla County Thursday evening where residents were able to see them at the First Baptist Church.

The Florida Department of Transportation says four-lane design plans for Crawfordville Highway from East Ivan Road to the Leon County line are finished. Some of the land along Crawfordville will be eminent domain for the project, so residents want to make sure it is being handled properly.

Mike Carter, who is an attorney for some land owners said, "It's the responsibility of the attorneys to see these people are all marshalled to the issue so that the property owner gets a just value of the taking."

FDOT says the next project along Crawfordville Highway will be the resurfacing of areas between Wakulla-Arran Road and the Leon County Line in 2011. Another multi-lane project for Crawfordville Highway is North of Lost Creek Bridge to East Ivan Road. The FDOT says this project does not have funding, but plans are 60% completed.
