Aliens are invading our country, and wreaking havoc on our ecosystem
We're talking about invasive plants and animals.
The Tallahassee Museum has a new exhibit called 'Alien Attack!' informing the community about the dangers of introducing a non-native animal or plant to our area.
These invasive species could kill other plants or animals and quickly spread.
Coyotes are a prime example, and while they threaten rodents and livestock, they could cause more damage.
Tallahassee Museum Animal Curator Mike Jones says, "There's been a couple of cases in the U.S. of kids being grabbed by 'em. So they're not particularly a great thing to have around, but they are here, they're very intelligent and very adaptable and that makes them a challenge to try and control."
This exhibit at the Tallahassee Museum opens on Friday, November 27th.
