This morning Volunteer Leon began training the Citizens Information Line Team. The volunteers need to work well under pressure while ensuring that the most current information is available to residents during an emergency.
These are folks who could be helping you in a disaster and some are there "just because."
One volunteer said, "We just came upon this opportunity and thought it would be great to get back in with the Sheriff's Department and be a volunteer for the program."
The team will make sure those who need help are directed to the right people. Volunteer Leon is always taking volunteers, so if you are interested in contributing your time, click the link below.
