TCC Enrollment Increase

The term "junior college" might one day be seriously outdated. Community colleges are outgrowing the pre-school college perception.

Tallahassee Community College has increased its enrollment by 10.6 percent. That puts them at over 8,000 summer students compared to last year's 7,261 students.

In addition to the school's many enrollment efforts, TCC says they are making it easier for students to plan and prepare.

Vice President of Student Affairs Sharon Jefferson said, "Each student has an assigned adviser. Students have a learning plan that we're trying to help them to create and develop their schedules, their activities, and their related experiences here at the college."

President Bill Law is not surprised that TCC is growing, but it is more than they expected.
