A local man who was killed two years ago was remembered during a community event.
The Gregory Community Center hosted "Sylvester Davis Day" in honor of Sylvester Davis, a popular Tallahassee Parks and Recreation employee who was shot to death in 2005.
Family members say the event pays tribute to the community and all their support during such a difficult time.
They say Davis worked closely with children, and this is a way to carry on his name.
"People know that what he was doing was a good thing, was a worthwhile thing, and it was a joyful thing, and they are carrying on his legacy," said Helen Gainous, Sylvester Davis's mother.
Tallahassee police investigators say the case is still unsolved, and there are no leads.
