Firefighters Raise Thousands for MDA

Tallahassee Professional Firefighters #2339 exceeded their goal and more than doubled last year’s total by raising an impressive $34,129.94 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) at the “Fill the Boot” drive.

The three-day boot drive took place May 30 through June 1 at street intersections throughout Tallahassee. MDA is sincerely appreciative of the firefighters’ continued support.

The participating firefighters hit the streets with a clear mission: to fill their fire boots with dollars to donate to MDA and “Jerry’s kids.” Last year, Tallahassee Professional Firefighters raised $16,449 for MDA.
