Diabetes Summer Camp Fun
When kids head off to summer camp, it's all about having fun and it's something kids remember for the rest of their lives.
In Quincy at the Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes, these kids get to play hard and learn while they're at it. All this week till Saturday, these children will learn how to become more independent in their diabetes care.
And just as important, they will do all their favorite camp activities.
Dr. Larry Deeb said, "It's really important to teach children that they can live a full happy life with diabietes and when you come to camp and do what other kids do at camp, you're living that full life."
The camp near Quincy is partnered with Tallahassee Memorial there are three more Diabetes camps in Florida this summer.
