Protecting the Canopy

Tonight the Canopy Roads Citizen Committee will plan for a meeting in mid August where they will define the significance of our canopies.

Chairwoman Jennifer Gihring says there is no comprehensive vision of what we want our Canopy Roads to be, which is important in protecting them.

Local residents are welcome to help create that vision.

Senior Planner with the City and County Planning Department Brian Wiebler said, "They want to start looking at the bigger picture to say, ‘well, what do we need to be planning for to protect whatever it is that we like so much about the canopy roads?’"
