Fireworks in Tallahassee are given the 'OK'

The Fire Department says after careful consideration it's issuing permits for public fireworks displays. If you must light up the sparklers at your house:

· Find an open area away from structures and trees and wet it down. · Have a water source and extinguisher on hand.
· Adults should supervise.
· If you have a dud, don't approach.

Any firework that explodes or leaves the ground is illegal.
