Tallahassee's Top 5 Crash Sites

The top five crash sites in Tallahassee, these five places, have had the most crashes in the first six months of this year.

They are:

-Apalachee Parkway and Blair Stone Road
-Apalachee Parkway and Capital Circle Southeast
-Ocala Road and West Tennessee Street
-Ocala Road and West Pensacola Street
-And High Road and West Tennessee Street

Some residents feel that high traffic is to blame.

Burnic Jordan said, "We're carrying a lot more traffic than we normally carry, ‘cause there is an increase in the population. I think we need to think about alleviating some of those problems by maybe looking at some other alternatives."

To help police officers keep an eye out for dangerous violators, the city has installed red-light indicators at Apalachee Parkway and Blair Stone Road, and they will be installing more.
