Tallahassee, Florida--

A Tallahassee dancer is hoping to take a bite out of the Big Apple this summer.

Sarah Roberts will be dancing in New York City this summer at Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre.

She is a junior at Leon High School and she has been dancing since she was three. This weekend she is the lead dancer in the Cinderella ballet in Tallahassee.

Roberts says she could not be more excited for this opportunity. Roberts said, "I wasn't expecting it because I just wanted to try out and then when I got the scholarship it just was awesome cause I wasn't expecting it at all."

The scholarship will pay for her to train for six weeks in modern, ballet, jazz, and maybe even hip-hop.

You can watch her dance yourself this weekend as Cinderalla, at Ruby Diamond on Florida State's campus.
