The Thomasville Amateur Radio Club held it's annual Field Day Exercise.
The event gave the public an opportunity to see some high-tech equipment.
It also allowed members to conduct emergency communication drills.
Radio Club president Mike Brown says the event is a major undertaking for members.
Explains Brown, "We actually check out how well we can operate from the Emergency Operations Center in Thomasville. We come in, there's no previously set up antennas or radio, everything is set up."
The group helps the Thomas County Fire Rescue and Archbold Memorial Hospital if phone lines and primary radios go out during a disaster.
