Dozens of people laced up their sneakers for a good cause!
Folks made their way to lake ella this morning for the "tallahassee walk for children with Apraxia Of speech.
Children who suffer from the speech disorder know what they want to say, however, their brain has trouble coordinating the muscle movement needed to get those words out.
All of the proceeds from today's walk will benefit research and programs for children with the disorder.
Tabatha Rackley, Apraxia Awareness Walk Coordinator says proceeds will be used to help buy tools that the children need.
"It will go to iPads for children. They do different drawings; they're able to do in speech and any kind of classroom sessions,"said Rackley.
Organizers say this year's walk raised close to two thousand dollars for the Childhood Apraxia Of Speech Association Of North America.
