Women and men filed into the Aveda salon in Tallahassee Sunday to get haircuts for a good cause.
The Cut-A-Thon event brought in community conscious customers, while hairdressers from different salons around town volunteered their time, and their scissors to raise awareness about the need for clean water.
Aveda Representative Kimberly Balzli said, "We know that clean water is not only an issue that is here at home, but it's around the globe... and do our funds help to educate the public about clean water issues... to help them to understand."
The Cut-a-thon is a part of Aveda's earth month.
