Belt Buckle Ball Release

Tallahassee, FL - Join us at the 2012 Belt Buckle Ball, a premier fund-raising event for Children's Miracle Network at Shands Hospital for Children at UF.

Thousands of Big Bend area families turn to Shands Hospital for Children when their children need highly specialized, pediatric medical are. Financial support from CMN helps Shands maintain and provide the most advanced pediatric medical care available. The Belt Buckle Ball will be held Friday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 11 p.m., and features a silent auction, casino games, dinner and entertainment.

Live auction items include boots signed by Tim McGraw, heart buckles and original children's art created by kids, as part of the Shands Arts In Medicine program, who are undergoing treatment. Tallahassee couple David and Krista Kahn, whose twin girls, Ava and Megan were born at Shands last year, are this year's event's Ambassador Family.

Keynote speakers are Mark Bleiweis, MD, director and principal cardiothoracic surgeon at the UF Congenital Heart Center, and Jay Fricker, chief of pediatric cardiology at the UF College of Medicine.
