Tallahassee, FL- A Big Bend Senior Center has been recognized for its remarkable services today. According to Florida's Public Service Commission Tallahassee's Senior Center is helping the elderly in a big way.
The Center was named one of P-S-C's helping hands by providing various services to the elderly throughout Tallahassee. One service particularly stuck out above the rest their ability to help seniors lower their utility bills.
One director at the Tallahassee Senior Center, Sheila Salyer explained "Here at the Senior Center we are able to provide our city utility staff to come in and give that information to keep their utility bills as small as possible." People from the center recently helped P-S-C share their story on what it was like to live in Florida before there was air conditioning. Salyer later said any seniors seeking information is welcome to stop by the center for some help.
