Businesses hit hard in this tough economy often wonder whether to close down shop.

Brogan Museum Campaign Chairman, Greg Follensbee, says "We normally have other sources of money, but they're not coming in like they used to."

Chucha Barber and Greg Follensbee from the Mary Brogan Science Museum are doing everything in their power to keep North Florida's only art and science museum up and running. They're launching the Five by Five Campaign to raise $500,000 in five months.

"We're hoping we can find 1000 friends of the institution ... individuals, coorporations, or organizations who will give us $500," says Barber, CEO of Brogan.

Not everyone has $500, but how about $5? "We've just launched a new opportunity for texting. $5 to the Five by Five campaign," says Barber. You can text BROGAN to 20222 to make the $5 contribution.

You can also go to the second floor of Brogan to participate in "A Buck for the Brogan." You give a dollar and get a "Brogan Buck" that gets put in an exhibit about finance and money.

At the Brogan Museum you can tour Baroque artwork from Italy, get your hands on science exhibits, or check out the bug museum!

Barber says Brogan has more to offer than just a great time. "The importance of our educational value should not be discounted."

And it's not! Even the kids at "Camp All That" are giving the Brogan Museum its due credit.
The kids said, "We learn about Ancient Rome."
"We learned about Italy and the Colloseum, and a lot of other stuff."
"We learned about how the buildings were built"
"We learn about making comics."
