TALLAHASSEE - Blueprint 2000 will break ground on Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 on Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. The event will take place on West Van Buren Street, just west of Bronough/Duval Street overpass.
What: Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 Groundbreaking Ceremony
When: Tuesday, February 25, 2014, 10 a.m.
Who: City of Tallahassee and Leon County Officials, Terence Hinson, Intergovernmental Agency Citizen Advisory Council Chair; and Andrew Chin, Interim Dean, Florida A&M University School of Architecture.
Where: West Van Buren Street, just west of Bronough/Duval Street overpass
Reception to follow. Parking will be provided.
Details: The vision for Capital Cascades Trail Segment 3 is to restore the St. Augustine Branch, from Monroe Street to Gamble Street, to a greenway and stream. The project features a multi-use trail located within a greenway setting and will include a playground, bicycle/pedestrian walkways and trails and many other amenities.
