Tallahassee, FL - The City of Tallahassee’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs (PRNA) Department is hosting a special concert in Kleman Plaza featuring Wild Blue Country on Monday, October 8, from 8 – 10 p.m.
Members of this talented music group are full-time, active duty bandsmen serving in the United States Air Force Academy. Making a stop in Tallahassee for one night only, they travel the country and overseas to entertain and support our troops.
A favorite of military and civilian audiences alike, Wild Blue Country appears regularly on the Grand Ole Opry stage. They have also been featured on television's Nashville Now, Opry Back Stage and Good Morning America. In addition, the band has performed with many country recording artists including Charlie Daniels, Conway Twitty, Boxcar Willie, Hank Williams, Jr., Louise Mandrell, Reba McEntire, Roger Miller, Ray Price, "Whispering" Bill Anderson, Mickey Gilley and Brent Mason just to name a few.
This special concert is free to the public and will be held on the grassy area at Kleman Plaza, located on Duval Street behind City Hall. Plenty of parking is available underneath Kleman Plaza in the public parking garage or on the streets in the Downtown area. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
