Construction on State Road 20 in Tallahassee

Chipley – Construction begins Monday, Feb. 4, on an 18.7-mile section of State Road 20 (Blountstown Highway) from the Ochlockonee River to Smitty’s Way in Tallahassee. The project calls for resurfacing, drainage improvements, and traffic signal loop replacement at Aenon Church Road. Work is scheduled to be completed winter 2014.

To minimize impacts to the traveling public, lane closures will be restricted. Access to driveways and business entrances will be maintained.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area, and to use caution, especially at night when driving in work zones.
