The dog days of summer are almost here and a local event aims to help dog rescue organizations.
Dog owners and their pets came out to the Pity Party, Doggy Fun Day.
The event showcased all local animal rescue organizations.
Pity party helps bring awareness to dog behavior. The organization also had some adoptable dogs and cats.
Nikita Bagley attended the event and said as far as dogs go, the more the merrier. "I have a dog of my own. If I could I would totally get another one, but I just love dogs especially, I love all pets," said Bagley.
Also at the event, there was plenty of food trucks and activities for the entire family.
