Tonight’s Downtown Getdown was supposed to be in unison with tomorrow’s FSU National Championship Celebration, but that has been postponed.

The good news is Downtown Getdown is still happening tonight!

TPD and many vendors are already on location, set up, and ready to go.

The United Way said they wanted to continue with the Downtown Getdown because a lot of preparation went into tonight’s festivities.

The United Way’s Downtown GetDown this Friday night at the Adam’s Street Commons in Tallahassee will go on as planned, although the Championship Celebration scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed.

Rob Wilson, FSU's Associated Athletic Director, has stated that part of the reason for the postponement was that some of the draft eligible players were not able to make it, and very much wanted to be a part of the celebration.

A new date for the celebration will be announced once plans are finalized.
