To Lowndes We Go For The Ham and Eggs Show!

Lowndes County, GA - For over 6 decades, an event featuring ham and eggs has taken over the Lowndes Civic Center... And today, it's back for another yummy year!

A tribute to ham and eggs happens today at the Lowndes County Civic Center! The event started back in 1950 and is now in it's 63rd year with an estimated 60 hams to be on the judging tables this year.

Last year, The Grand Champion eggs sold for $250 dollars. As for the first place ham, it sold for just under $400 dollars.

Judging for the 63rd Annual Lowndes County Ham & Egg Show and Sale is scheduled for 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today, with a special presentation at 11:30 a.m.

The sale/auction will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 20, also at the Lowndes County Civic Center.
