FAMU Holds Wreath Laying Ceremony in Honor of 9/11 Victims

Tallahassee, FL - The Florida A&M University Office of Student Activities invited the community to remember the events of September 11th through prayer, song and fellowship.

A wreath laying commemorated the victims of 9/11, followed by selections from the FAMU Gospel Choir.

The program was held in the University Quadrangle near the eternal flame.

There were comments by Tonette Graham, student senate president; Dr. James Moran, Jr., College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Anthony Siders, SGA president; and Henry Kirby, J.D., associate vice president for student life & dean of students.

There was also a Patriots Day banner posted on the side of the Student Activities Building. It allowed students to sign their names and write messages in commemoration of the 9/11 victims.
