Some FSU students hit the green today to help their fellow students.

FSU's Intergraternity Council held its inaugural IFC Gives Back Charity Invitational at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course today.

The money goes to the FSU Student Foundation's Protect Our Professors Campaign.

It gives the money back to professors to directly allocate it to students for classes or research opportunities.

"For the professors who give so much to us - you know they show up everyday, they allow us to grow and learn as students - which is why we come to college to become the people we want to be and obviously that process they play a quite integral role in it. So to be able to give back and to say that we are helping them it means a lot," said Slice Penny, Administrative VP of FSU Interfraternity Council.

Penny said they've raised at least $10,000 from the tournament.

They also had a silent auction featuring two footballs signed by legendary FSU Coach Bobby Bowden and a signed jersey from Miami Heat Center Chris Bosh.
