Fathers everywhere will be honored this Sunday. They'll enjoy sporting a brand new tie, grilling up a few burgers or taking a trip to a favorite fishing hole.

We caught up with a father in Tallahassee who says the greatest gift he gets from his son, he gets every day. A walk.

Obie Condry and his son Sean walk this stretch of road just about every day.

"Five days a week, Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays he has off," Obie Condry said.

And they've been doing it ever since Obie retired. Nearly 15 years now.

"And you know everybody just by the cars they drive?"

"Yes...yes...including yours which is a Honda Civic...black. No a CRV."

Kerry Forest to Thomasville Road and back again. As busy as morning rush hour gets (car honking) drivers never seem to busy to honk the horn or give a wave.

"Do you know a lot of these people?"

"Yes," Sean Condry said.

Are you one of the most popular men in the neighborhood?

"Yes."

Sean's morning walk comes with a soundtrack.

"The way you make me feel ..."

"Michael Jackson."

"And who else?" his father asked. "Rick?"

"James."

"Janet?"

"Jackson."

Is music like your favorite thing, Sean?

"Yes."

Sean is autistic. He's a graduate of Gretchen Everhart and a weekly volunteer at the Tallahassee Police Department.

His father calls him his pride and joy.

To Sean this may just be part of the morning routine, but to Obie it is so much more. A simple gift of togetherness they can share every day ... at least Monday through Friday.

"He's just a great kid and I just enjoy being around him and I wouldn't have it any other way," Obie Condry said.

Nearly 50,000 cars pass the corner at Thomasville Road at Kerry Forest Parkway every single day. The Condry's can't begin to count the waves and honks, but say they have met hundreds of people through their morning walks and know many of them by name.
