Sixteen of the brightest and most beautiful young women take center stage at The Capital City Scholarship Pageant, as they compete to be crowned the next Miss Tallahassee and Miss Capital City, FL.
These two Contestants will then take their talents to St. Petersburg this summer, as they compete at The Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant, with Miss America just on the horizon.
Last year, The Chi Phi Fraternity at Florida State University hosted the Miss Florida State University Scholarship Pageant.
With zero pageant experience, we turned Miss FSU into the single largest local Scholarship Pageant for attendance in the history of the State of Florida, with over 1,100 tickets sold.
This year, we decided to share our Scholarship Pageant with the city of Tallahassee as a way to celebrate the exceptional young women who call the capital of Florida their home.
As a way to honor their hard work and dedication, close to $3,000 in scholarship opportunities have been made available to help further our Contestant’s education, and future.
Aside from the notoriety in being crowned Miss Tallahassee, or Miss Capital City, FL., each of the Contestants chose a Platform Issue that they are most passionate about. Ranging from Dancing for Down Syndrome to the Confidence Coalition to Juvenile Diabetes awareness, each of these issues have had a profound effect on the Contestants.

As our philanthropy, we host this event to challenge our Contestants to go above and beyond what they expect of themselves. Through the process of self-actualization, our goal is that each of these young women walks away with the confidence that they can, and will, change the world.
It is our goal that Tallahassee takes notice of these women, and appreciate what they have accomplished. Many people may have a preconceived notion about what a Scholarship Pageant, and these ladies are here to change the norm.
We hope that the city of Tallahassee joins us at our red-carpet, black tie event on February 23rd, 2013, as we crown our next Miss Tallahassee and Miss Capital City, FL. in the beautiful Lee Hall Auditorium on the campus of Florida A&M University.
