"It's a great day to be a Florida State Seminole," said FSU Head Football Coach Jimbo Fisher.

It doesn't get much better than being honored by Governor Rick Scott at the Governor's Mansion after winning the National Title in January.

"You don't get to come to the Governor's Mansion very often in your lifetime and for our players what a tremendous experience for them," said Fisher.

With the Coaches Trophy and the shimmering crystal ball at the forefront, Jimbo Fisher and each player was awarded the Governor's Sports Award.

"It is a great day, a great championship win and the coaches put together a great coaching staff and a great team," said Florida Governor Rick Scott.

Kory Burnett is a walk-on to the team since his freshman year, now getting ready to graduate. He says he's proud to be apart of the team that climbed to the top.

"It means a lot, the years that FSU has progressed from being in the Champ Sports Bowl a couple of years ago, to the Orange Bowl last year, now we're in the National Championship and we are the winners of that, it's a huge deal to be honored by Rick Scott to get this opportunity to come here to the Capitol," said Burnett.

The icing on the cake though, could be Toomer's Lemonade brought all the way from Auburn.

"So we had a bet with the Governor of Alabama, and that's what he had to send to us, so we waited until today for him to send it, and it tasted really good," said Governor Scott.

"There's nothing better than Toomer's Lemonade especially when your on the victory end of it," said Fisher.

"The Lemonade is really good. I probably finished the whole entire thing right there, I had probably five cups of that," said Burnett.

The team was also honored earlier in the day while visiting the Senate and The House of Representatives.
