Members of the school board say they're asking for community feedback on a strategic plan for the county that was approved in mid-December 2010.

The plan focuses on different facets of the learning and teaching environment, and its goal is to make Grady County schools better overall.

Superintendent Dr. Tommy Pharis says, "We are charged with the education of this community's children ... and of course, parents and concerned citizens have a right to express their opinion, and we want to hear their opinion, because we also learn from what they have to say."

Topics being examined include safety and student discipline.

A community-wide meeting will be held to discuss the plan Tuesday (2/1) evening at 6 o'clock at Southside Elementary school, and all Grady County residents are welcome to attend.
