The MLK Youth Day of Service calls on kids of all ages to help out in their community on Monday, 1/17.
Event organizers say the day is meant to remind folks of the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr. to give back and help one another.
The day also ties in with President Obama's 'United We Serve' initiative.
Four volunteer sites will be set up from 9am until noon:
- Friendship Cemetery (Metcalf)
- Manna drop (handing out boxes of food) at Harper Elementary School (110 Bartow St.)
- Second Harvest Food Bank (1100 Smith Ave.)
- Thomasville-Thomas County Habitat for Humanity House (410 Victoria Place)
