Tallahassee, FL --May 13, 2012--
One of the toughest jobs around is being a mother.
Well, today 5-13-12 is Mother's Day. It's the day where we honor and celebrate those special women.
WCTV took to the streets to ask people what 'Mother's Day' means to them and how they plan on celebrating that special woman in their lives.
"We started out by having a breakfast cooked at home. I fixed breakfast for my wife and gave her, her cards and gift and we have two of our grandchildren with us for this weekend so we got to celebrate it with them," says Tim Tankersley, a Tallahassee resident.
"It feels good to be a mother and to know that you've given it your all as well so you get to have that feeling all day long of feeling special. For once a year, you get to feel special, so yeah, it's a special day," says Portia Thomas, a mother.
From the whole WCTV team here, we wish everyone a 'Happy Mother's Day.'
