Tallahassee, Florida- August 9, 2012
American Advertising Federation of Tallahassee (AAFT) today announced “HAVANA NIGHTS,” a creative fundraiser to benefit local advertising and marketing students at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Florida State University, Keiser University, Lively Technical Center and Tallahassee Community College. The event will be held August 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Flightline Group HondaJet Aircraft Hangar, 3232 Capital Circle SW. The hangar is located next to the Compass Pointe building, which is the former Tallahassee Regional Airport airline terminal. This brand new 15,000 Sq.Ft. facility was just completed to house Flightline’s HondaJet dealership and will be the centerpiece of this spectacular event.
Party-goers in cool Cuban guayaberas and casual island wear will experience a never-before-seen event in the natural-air hangar. The “hottest ticket in town” will feature salsa dancing to Tallahassee’s own Latin Soul, a nine-member mini orchestra, complete with a horn section, congas and bongos; authentic Cuban cuisine by Habana’s Boardwalk; real airplanes; Maclay Motors classic cars; a photo booth and more. The highlight of the evening will be the awarding of AAFT’s Silver Medal, a 38-year tradition to honor Tallahassee’s most accomplished advertising professionals. Tickets are $50 per person or $360 for a table of eight and can be purchased in advance only at ItWillBeEpic.org.
