Tallahassee, FL--(June 17, 2013)--The Leon County Humane Society has partnered with Pizza Hut to reward area vets with a pizza party as part of Humane Society Appreciation Week (June 16-22). The LCHS wanted to honor veterinary clinics that have an ongoing partnership with them during the year. On Wednesday, June 19th, they will reward the top
5 vets (listed below) by delivering Pizza Hut pizzas to five different locations from 11:45 am-12 pm.
“We are so fortunate to have such dedicated vets in our area,” said LCHS Interim Executive Director Tracey Van Hook, “To choose just five veterinary clinics to honor was not easy, but it is a testament to their dedication to help homeless animals in Tallahassee. We wanted to thank them for everything they do.”
This Year’s Honorees Include:
Pizza Huts located in Tallahassee will also be donating 15% of the proceeds from pizzas ordered online using the code “ADOPT” or with a voucher presented in stores Friday, June 21st. Vouchers are available online at www.LCHS.info. The proceeds will go to Leon County Humane Society in support of Humane Society Appreciation Week. “We are proud to help support the homeless animals in our community,” said Tim Motta, Area General Manager for Pizza Hut.

Founded in 1960, LCHS has since been dedicated to matching families with homeless pets and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. Each year, LCHS adopts out nearly 500 pets and provides spay/neuter assistance for many more.
