An area high school is doing its part in supporting a cause that could affect any one of us.
The girls' softball team all wore pink, but not because it's their favorite color. They wanted to show their support in the fight against breast cancer in the Annual Pink Game.
This game had to be rescheduled 3 times, and with the beautiful weather, they couldn't have asked for a better day to play ball.
Last year, the team raised $10,000 toward the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center.
Donations can be made to Leon High Softball.
The game kicks off at 6pm and the Leon High softball field. There will be free food from Red Elephant.
"It's just an honor. I mean we're a small ball club compared in the big scheme of things, but as much as we can help we want to do it. The school as a whole has raised $120,000. We have a wing in Leon's name it's just incredible to be apart of that," said Katie Mueller, Girls Softball Coach.
