Tallahassee, Florida --
Leon County Schools is starting the process of redistricting areas for board member seats.
The school district, like political districts, has to re-evaluate the school zones after the census comes out. Tuesday night, the school board discussed the matter and decided to set up a committee to spear head the project.
Barbara Wills of Leon County Schools said, "We have relatively comparable populations in three of those districts ... two of the districts have seen some population shifts."
Districts 1 on the Northeast side of town, and District 2 on the East side of town have seen the most changes.
The redistricting talks are expected to continue until August.
