Tallahassee, FL - Local volunteer organizations are preparing to help those in Oklahoma City.

In Tallahassee, the Salvation Army is on stand-by waiting for that call for aid.

The Captain of the Tallahassee Salvation army, Julio Da Silva says, " We combat the disaster with acts of love. That's what we have been doing for over 100 years. The Salvation Army is always there present, bringing comfort in many different ways."

In Georgia, the Salvation Army is preparing to send a feeding unit along with teams of volunteers as soon as they get the call to go.

If you are interested in helping those in Oklahoma you can text the word STORM to 80888 for a $10 donation to the Salvation Army. You can also dial 1-800-725-2769.
