Statement from Don May, Senior Vice President at Farmers & Merchants Bank
Good morning! I just wanted to give one last thank you to everyone that supported Haley’s Dollars 4 Diabetes Car Wash this year. With your help, the final total was an amazing $12,770 raised, bringing the five year total to over $42,000. 100% of this money goes to the American Diabetes Association. Our family is very grateful to each of you that supported this event in any way. Haley certainly understands that, while we washed a LOT of cars, we did not wash almost $13,000 worth. This success is completely due to people like you and we very much appreciate it. Thank you again from the May family.

One local teen continues her fight against diabetes, while raising awareness.
Haley May was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 11 back in 2007.
Ever since, she's been a strong young advocate for the disease that affects more than 26 million Americans.
Today, along with her family and friends she hosted the 5th annual May family Dollars 4 Diabetes car wash. The past 4 years they have raised $30,000 for the American Diabetes Association.
"We've actually had diabetics out here and it just shows how much were motivated to find a cure for this disease," said May.
They raised close to $10,000 for this year's annual car wash.
