Tallahassee, FL - Today is Military Appreciation Day in Florida.

A local chapter of the Patriot Guard Riders is at the State Capitol in honor of the annual observance.

WCTV has a reporter at the Capitol and will bring you more on the day's events tonight on Eyewitness News.

The State of Florida has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to participate and represent veterans in 3 events on Military Appreciation Day, March 19, 2013. This is an annual observance during the meeting of the Florida Legislature.

The Governor will announce the signing declaration that designates March 30, 2013 Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.
