Tallahassee, FL - Members of law enforcement who help to prevent tragic drunk driving accidents were honored in Tallahassee tonight.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving held its 2013 Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony. WCTV's Shonda Knight emceed the dinner banquet.
The keynote speaker was FSU professer Mark Zeigler. Ziegler's brother-in-law was killed by a drunk driver in 2007.
Zeigler: "As bad as it's been for me, it's a hundred times worse for my sister and her children, but it means a lot to me that they would ask me to impart some words of hope, some words of thanks to officers who are dealing with this every single day."
Pictures of victims and survivors of drunk driving were at each table. They served as a solemn reminder of why the ceremony is held each year.
